The Right Direction
Carly was taken off the ventilator this morning and is now breathing on her own. It is great to see her cute little mouth and cheeks that were hidden behind tape and tubing. She is starting to move around a little bit but still slept for all but a few minutes today. She has now gone over two days without a pain episode and we are hopeful that as she becomes more alert and starts eating tomorrow she will continue to be pain free. There is still no clear diagnosis for her and there is a possibilty that we will go home without one. We aren't too concerned about the diagnosis as long as Carly feels good and stays that way. We can feel the love from all of you helplng to carry us through these trying days, thank you!

Allie, Andy, Sophie and Luke
Glad to hear the painful episodes seem to be over. It would be nice to know what was/is happening, but knowing that Carly is pain free is the best news. We were sending lots of positive vibes to Carly and strength to you guys from phish tour. ((HUGS))
Thinking of you often and hoping to get to see sweet Carly very soon.
Take care,
Jeri
must be so hard to see her in pain, glad it seems to have passed. you've got a strong little girl there and a great medical team, and they have the best parental team possible in you and Christa so with some love and prayers from the rest of us, this will hopefully keep moving Carly forward in this right direction.
BIG HUGS,
sheila and keith

Good to know that CGN is feeling a little better Brad. I'm hopeful that her pains have in fact been caused by 'normal' baby issues and that, while the docs can't quite pin point the cause of it, all the care and love that she has received will help them to go away and STAY away.
Take care bud.

I'm so glad & grateful to hear that Carly is not in pain & is off the ventilator. My continued thoughts and prayers are heading your way for her full recovery. Lots of love to all of you!
I am so glad that Carly hasn't had a painful episode in the past 2 days. I hope that she remains in comfort and that she continues to get healthier and stronger each day. You have such a strong family and I know that is such a driving force in helping her to heal.
Love, Stephanie
Hi Brad, Crista, and Carly - I'm relieved to check the site today and see that Carly is in recovery, after talking to Allie last night. Stay positive! My thoughts are with you,
